IT SEEMS LIKE MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER DOESN’T WANT YOU TO SELL YOUR MLS STUFF ON ETSY Part 2

So yesterday we received a notice from Etsy that MLS had contacted them and told them to take down one out the listings. An unknown box with the MLS logo on. Clearly an authorized product.
I decided to send MLS legal team an email asking why.

Hello Legal team,
I am reseller and I was informed by Etsy that you had asked for them to remove one of my listings.

Can you provide the reason for that decision?
I assure that I did not make this product but I would like to know why I cannot resell it. Is this a promotional item that was not available to the public? I am a bit puzzled.

Respectfully,

I didn’t think I would get a response but it’s worth knowing why I can’t sell MLS items on the secondary market.

At 5:20PM
I received ANOTHER email from Etsy with a BRAND NEW order to take down ANOTHER listing.

This time a BRAND NEW Atlanta United MLS Champions T-shirt with official tags.

I just don’t get it. MLS already made their money on this. I’m literally selling it for the same price I bought it for. The money I make on most of the soccer stuff in the Etsy store…goes to the local High School Soccer team I coach(ed) for….so I just don’t get the reasoning behind their take down. It’s very Petty to say the least.
