I got to meet a hero of mine back in August 24th of 2013. He hadn’t done an interview in years…possibly a decade….so it was a real pleasure to meet him and interview him. What a gentleman! Andranik Eskandarian is a legend in the Armenian and Iranian community. An absolute New York Cosmos legend in the heyday of American soccer too. The photograph is of us at a banquet in Glendale, CA honoring Mr Eskandarian for all the work he had done and continues to do in the Armenian Community. I must say it was a highlight of my soccer interviewing career to meet Mr Eskandarian.
