I don’t remember the date of this interview but I do remember how excited I was before the interview. I was going to be talking to the winningest coach in American Soccer History. Coach Newman was a pioneer in American Soccer. Legend had it that he had to make his own goal posts from wood he had to buy from a local lumber yard when he came to the US as there were no soccer equipment suppliers anywhere to be found.
